Uninstall AutoMate
This article discusses the process of uninstalling Nimbus AutoMate software. Nimbus AutoMate is a .net Windows Service that is installed on your LAN and was used to synchronise the Practice Management Database with Nimbus and optionally a nominated folder structure to the Nimbus Practice site in the Cloud.
Before commencing this process, you will need access to the following:
- Administrative access to the server / PC where AutoMate is to be installed.
- Administrative access to your Nimbus account.
- Ensure that *nimbushost.net is listed under the Trusted Sites
Perform the following:
- Login to server where Nimbus AutoMate is installed.
- If the URL for the account is not known, then you can run the AutoMate executable from C:\Program Files\Nimbus Technology\AutoMate\NimbusAutoMate.exe and for this pop up:
Select Yes and this will take you to the Account URL that AutoMate is connected to.
- If the URL for the account is not known, then you can run the AutoMate executable from C:\Program Files\Nimbus Technology\AutoMate\NimbusAutoMate.exe and for this pop up:
- Login to your Nimbus Account
- Select Admin / AutoMate
- Click the Install button - Nimbus will run the AutoMate application from the Nimbus server
- Click the Run button
- The Nimbus AutoMate Install dialogue will display
- Click Uninstall service, answer Yes to uninstall the AutoMate service
- The Nimbus AutoMate Install dialogue will display again, and will only offer the Install Service and the Configure buttons
- The Nimbus AutoMate service has now been uninstalled.
Step-by-step guide - via Browser
- Log into the Server where AutoMate is installed
- Open IE and confirm that *nimbushost.net is listed under the Trusted Sites
- Paste the following link into the address bar and hit enter: https://aus*.nimbushost.net/Nimbus/AutoMate/NimbusAutoMate.application?Uninstall=Yes
AutoMate will automatically be uninstalled for you.
Step-by-step guide - via DOS command prompt
If the above fails then you can uninstall AutoMate via a DOS command prompt:
- Run the command Prompt as Administrator. Type in CMD in the Windows Search, and right mouse click and Run as Administrator.
- From command prompt:
- Cd “C:\Program Files\Nimbus Technologies\AutoMate”
- NimbusAutoMate.exe ?Uninstall=Yes
- Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Nimbus Technologies
