ATOMate

Integrate Nimbus with ATOmate and securely share, edit and sign documents with your Clients in the Cloud. Add on Nimbus CDM for a full-featured Cloud Document Management system.

Integrate with ATOmate and automatically save Tax documents from the ATO to your Nimbus account. You can then view, share or sign any of these documents. ATOmate will identify the document type and use predefined mapping to save the ATO documents into the correct client folders in Nimbus. From here, the documents can be reviewed or published directly to the client. You will receive an email notification letting you know there are new files ready to be reviewed.

The integration will significantly reduce the administrative burden of processing, checking, distributing, and managing ATO documents for users of the Nimbus Document Management and Nimbus Client Portal.

It’s a big win for accountants using Nimbus, given the cumbersome task involved in processing the copious amounts of ATO correspondence that cross their desks. The integration will significantly reduce data entry, double handling, and opportunities for human error by automating the core components of the ATO document handling process.

Upon receipt of ATO documentation by mail or via the ATO Tax Agent Portal, ATOmate will sort all correspondence, check if it matches against an estimate from the practice management platform, and then either automatically send it to the client, or flag it for review, depending on rules set by the practice.

The integration will also allow for a more streamlined approach to drafting, sending, and archiving correspondence by automatically preparing emails and letters, and filing copies of those directly back into the Nimbus platform – providing a complete and accurate record of what has been communicated.

ATOmate’s automated workflow will save users countless hours of data entry, while easily handling privacy requirements: ATOmate automatically redacts all instances of Tax File Numbers from ATO documents filed and sent.

How the integration works:

ATOMate integrates with both the Practice Management (PM) system and Nimbus.  It looks for a client identifier from the PM, this may be Client Code or, for example, in the case of XPM, a UUID.

Using the Nimbus API, ATOMate looks up the Client, and then pushes the document to a year sub-folder under the client.

If the year sub-folder does not exist, it gets created.   ATOMate gives their users the option to publish via the Nimbus Client Portal, in which case, the document is also published to the client via the portal in Nimbus.

Typically this will not trigger an email job (depending upon client folder template setup), but will just send a standard publish notification.
