Restarting Folder Sync

In the case where Folder Syncing has halted, it may be restarted on a server without resorting to Nimbus login via the following steps:


  1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to: C:\Program Files\Nimbus Technology\AutoMate
  2. Double Click on exe to launch the program, and click "Yes" to the question "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" if it appears.
  3. The following dialog will display:

    Click "No".

  4. Click "OK" to the subsequent advisory message about the UI being closed automatically on Sunday.
  5. After a short pause, the Automate Status dialog will display, similar to the following:

    Ensure that the Service Statis is set to "Running".  If not, click the "Start Service" button.

  6. Click on the "Folders" tab, which should display similar to:

    If the sync status shows as "Disabled" as per above, then click on the "Enable Folder Sync" button.  The status will cycle through the various stages of full sync processing, and should eventually show "Completed, now waiting...".

  7. Close the Automate dialog by clicking the 'X' icon at top right. Note that it is not neessary to wait for the full sync to finish.  On a large file set, this may take many hours.
