PDF document solutions

For those key document types with Digital Document Signing (DDS), there is a functionality to create PDFs from Word, Excel and HTML documents.
There are two ways that you can PDF a document within Nimbus Cloud DM:

  1. Use the Save & PDF button displayed on the bottom of the page whilst in Edit mode;
  2. Select the File option on the ribbon bar and select Save & PDF

Once the document has been saved as a PDF, it is then possible to apply your Nimbus Digital signature to the document.

Manipulate a PDF document

Nimbus allows you to manipulate PDF documents by providing an editor tool. This allows you to edit a PDF and add, remove and re-order pages of a document. It also allows you to add either system or custom stamps to a PDF, as well as signature boxes for both staff and clients.
If you wish to manipulate a Client document:


  1. access the Client folder where the main PDF resides;
  2. open the PDF and click the Edit button, which will open the PDF manipulator. The document will display in the thumbnail pane on the left-hand side of the screen;
  3. to append another PDF document, click the Append File button. You will be able to select a PDF document from either the Client folder or from a Business folder. Locate the required file and click the document name link to Append the file.
  4. You may now re-order pages of the PDF. To do so, click the page you wish to move, and using the cursor, move it to the correct location.
  5. You may also delete pages from the PDF. To do so, click the page you wish to delete and then click the Delete Selection button. Answer Yes, to the query, to remove the page.

Inserting digital signatures & stamps

When editing a PDF, you can insert stamps and digital signature boxes.

  • Custom Stamps – this allows you to add to your PDF both pre-loaded or custom stamps using the Upload button.
  • Signatures – these buttons allow to add:
    • Business signatures, which will provide you with a drag & drop green shaded box where you want a Staff member to sign a document
    • Client Contact signatures, which allows you to place a yellow shaded drag & drop box where you want a Client Contact to sign a document.
  • Under Actions, you can Apply Stamp already placed, undo All Page Stamps and the Last Page Stamp.

Please note that once a document is signed, it can no longer be edited. If you wish to make changes to the document, you would have to revert to a previous version, prior to the signature, and request the document to be signed again.
