Locked for Edit / Sign

When a PDF file is opened for either editing / signing, the system places an 85 min “lock” period on the file. This is to ensure that all tasks of editing / signing are completed, without allowing any other user to edit the file at the same time.

If a staff member has edited a PDF to alter the document, or to sign the document, and then they close either the browser or the browser tab, the file will remain locked to that staff member for the 85 min period.

During this time, the file cannot be unlocked by a Doc Admin, though if the staff member who had initially locked the file, edits the file again (during the locked period), they can just saved the file and the file will be unlocked.
