Add a Date to a PDF

Dates can easily be added to a PDF within your Nimbus account.

This is achieved whilst in PDF Edit mode.

Note that dates remain on a PDF once it is signed.

Steps to add a comment are as follows:

  1. Click the PDF icon to edit a PDF.

  2. Click the Insert tab, then click the Markup drop down.

  3. Click the one of the many date format options.

  4. The system will add a date block in the top left-hand corner of the page, with the default text highlighted as shown below:

How to change the date

Now that you have your date on the PDF, it is possible to change the following attributes:

  • Font

  • Font size

  • Font type

  • Font colour

  • Background colour

  • Move the date box

Change the Font

To change the font, you need to highlight all the text (left click 3 times to select all) then update the font type here:

To resize the comment text, you need to highlight all the text (left click 3 times to select all) then update the font size here:

Change the Font type

To make the text bold or italic, you need to highlight all the text (left click 3 times to select all) then update the style as shown below.

If a font type is shaded, it means that style is applied. In the screenshot below, the text will be bold and not italic.

Change the Font colour / background colour

To update the font colour and/or background colour, highlight all the text (left click 3 times to select all) then update the style as shown below.

To set the font colour, click the first icon highlighted below.

To set the background colour (including transparent), click the second icon highlighted below.

Move the date box

To move the date, hover over the left side of the dotted line for a move icon to appear, click to drag and place the date where you would like

Once you are finished with making changes to the date, click Save to add the date on the PDF.
