Office Apps opening more than once

Windows 10 has a new setting which is set by default to be enabled, that allows the Office Applications to reopen after an update or a restart.

This can be disabled if required.

Instructions

Under Windows settings:

  1. Select Accounts / Sign-in options
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and under Privacy, disable the option to 
    1. "Use my sign-in information to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update or restart.
