Acknowledge or Unsubscribe from an Email Job

When an email job is sent to a Client, the system will use the Standard email stationery template (or a derivative of the Standard). The Standard email stationery template includes what is known as an “AcknowledgeLink”. When the email job is sent to the Client the email stationery displays the following two links:

The Client may click either link which will then perform the following:

When the AcknowledgeLink is clicked:

  1. The system will display the following pop-up window:

  2. The Viewed column will update in the Email Jobs grid

When the Unsubscribe link is clicked:

  1. The system will display the following pop-up window:

  3. The Contact record will be updated and the Allow Notifications option will be de-selected, meaning that the Contact will no longer receive system or email jobs from the Nimbus account.

Note that there is an exception to this rule in that the Contact can still be sent a Welcome email.
