Removing unwanted Matters

Removing unwanted Matters

From time to time staff will accidentally add a Matter code to your Nimbus CDM. This could be just a spelling mistake, or an unwanted code.

To find these unwanted values, we recommend you perform a Full Document listing, and search for the unwanted Matter values. To remove these values from your documents, you will need to edit the properties of these documents and either change the Matter value or remove it from the document.

You will also need to perform the same process in the Archive area to determine if the Matter is also used on Archived documents. As documents that are stored in Archive cannot be edited, the document will either need to be restored to Current, or the document will need to be deleted from the system.

When the last document is updated, the Matter value will then be automatically removed from the system.
