Restricting Access to a Client / Business folder

It is possible to restrict access to either a Client or a Business folder.

This can be achieved either by using Teams, or specially nominating which staff are able to access the folder.

  1. Locate the folder to be restricted

  2. Click the Blue Edit arrow to open the Folder Properties

  3. Click the option to Restrict Staff Access and the following dialog will display:

  5. The dialog will then add a new tab (to the right of the General tab) called Access.

  6. Click the Access tab

  7. Select the Staff who you want to have access to the folder / or select a Team

  8. Click the Update button to save your changes

  9. The system will then change the colour of the folder to Red to show that it is restricted

  10. Note that this folder will NOT display for staff who do NOT have permission to view the contents of the Folder.

 

Adjusting who can view the content of a Restricted Folder

Now that you have setup a restricted folder, you can add / remove staff access at any time.

  1. Locate the folder to be restricted

  2. Click the Blue Edit arrow to open the Folder Properties

  3. Click the Access tab

  4. The system will begin by displaying the staff who currently have access to the folder

    1. To Add a new staff member:

      1. Click the Selected button to show all staff members

      2. Select new staff members to add to the list

      3. Click the Update button

    2. To Remove a staff member:

      1. Deselect the staff member you wish to remove

      2. Click the Update button
