CDM - Publishing Documents

There are many ways to publish a document and make this visible to your Client.  This article discusses the manual process of publishing.

Instructions

As a staff member, you may have the correct permissions to be able to publish documents and make these visible to Clients.

If the document has already been uploaded to a (Green) Current folder
  1. Note that the folder must NOT be set to "Prevent Publishing"
  2. Click the blue edit arrow to edit the Document Properties
  3. Tick the "Published" field to publish the document.  Note that if this field has been greyed out, you will need to select a Workflow Status which allows documents to be published (e.g.: Published, Final etc).
  4. If you want to send an email notification to the Client, also tick the option "Send Published Notification"
  5. Click the Update button
  6. Note that this process may be repeated for any number of files.  The email will be sent via Nimbus as soon as a new menu option is selected.
If the document is being uploaded to a "Yellow" "To Client" folder (or sub-folder)
  1. Any file which is uploaded directly into a "Yellow" "To Client" folder or sub-folder, will automatically be published and made visible to the Client
  2. When a file is uploaded, you may select to "Send file upload notification"
  3. When this option is ticked, the system will send one email with links to all files which have been uploaded in the same process
Publishing documents via an Email Job
  1. It is possible to publish documents via the process of sending an email job
  2. The document must be able to be published (e.g.: user must have publish permissions, file must be stored in a location where the file can be published)
