Adding Employees (if not using AutoMate)
If your Practice does not subscribe to Nimbus AutoMate, you can add and edit Employee details within Nimbus.
Create an employee login for each staff member within your Practice. This allows everyone to use Nimbus.

How to Add an Employee:
- Select Admin from the Navigation menu
- Click the Employees option
- Click the New Employee icon on the toolbar
- Add the relevant information for the new employee
Field | Description |

Login Code | The code used by the employee to login to the Nimbus system. |
Salutation | The name used to address the staff member on all emails. |
First Names | The employees first name. |
Surname | The employees surname. |
Position | Position of the employee |
Mobile | Mobile number |
Notes | Any Notes |
Team | Teams the Employee belongs to |
- Click the Access tab to enter the areas of Nimbus this employee will be able to access.
- Nimbus will send the employee a Welcome to Nimbus email with a link to the Nimbus Practice Portal
Access Options
During the process of adding a new Employee it is important to provide access to the relevant Nimbus options. Select the options to allow access as follows:

Folder Modification | Ability to add / edit / delete folders and the folder properties. If access is not provided, the staff member will not be able to ad-hoc create a new folder etc. | ||
Private Folders | Ability to create a Private folder that no other staff can access. Also disables staff from adjusting folder properties and preventing other staff from accessing the folder. | ||
Allow notifications | Emails from Nimbus can be sent to this staff member | ||
Allow SMS Notifications | Select if the employee will receive SMS notifications from Nimbus. SMS notifications are sent during business hours (9am – 5pm, based on location) to remind an email notification has been sent by Nimbus | ||

Note: if access to a Nimbus module is selected, but the module is not subscribed to, the employee will see a dialog explaining what the subscription is used for, but will not be able to access the module.
When all fields are selected as required, click the Update button to save your changes.
You will then be able to send a "Welcome Email' to the staff member thereby allowing them to setup their Nimbus login.
