How to set up your One-Time-Password for Nimbus
This article explains in an easy 2-step process how to set up your One-Time-Password (OTP) for Nimbus by using an authentication app on your mobile device. The OTP replaces your normal password and means that you don’t have to remember a password for logging in, as the authentication app will generate a new password each time you log in.

Step 1 - Installing the Authentication app on your Mobile device
If you don’t have an authentication app on your mobile device yet, you will need to install one. There are various free authentication apps that can be used. Examples of free, well-rated authentication apps are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy 2-Factor Authentication.
Have your mobile device ready and login to the Play Store for Android, or App Store for iPhone.
Search for “Authentication app” or search for the name of the specific app you would like to use. Choose the app and install it on your device.
Step 2 - Connecting the Authentication app to your Nimbus login
The login method can be chosen when you are logging into Nimbus for the first time, or when you reset your password.
In the Login Type field, choose either Authenticator 6 digits or 8 digits. The 8 digits option being a more secure option than 6 digits in the sense that the code will be harder to crack. Note that some authentication apps only accept 6 digit codes.
3. The next dialog will show a QR code to be scanned. Open your authentication app on your mobile device. In the app, tap to create a new authentication item, select to scan the barcode/QR code, and point the device’s camera to the QR code.
4. The code will be scanned and a new item will be created in the app. Enter the code provided from the app into the Passkey field as shown in the example below. Then click the Login button.
5. For subsequent login, open your authentication app. Tap on the Nimbus login item in the app to see the code.
6. Enter 6 digit or 8 digit code in the password field and click on the Login button.
Note that with the OTP option you will not need to remember a password anymore. You simply need to enter the code generated by the app in the Password field.
