As you have previously opened the PDF in your Chrome browser, the next step is to profile the PDF document. Note that the Nimbus Extension will automatically prefill the Filename into the profile dialog, but this may be changed:The Nimbus Extension will detect PDF, Image or Video files that are opened in the browser on a webpage or from the local drive.
To upload a PDF, image or video file from the browser:
Open the webpage or local file in the browser
Click the Nimbus Extension icon
Follow instructions to install the Extension if you haven’t previously
The file should be detected and display the Upload to Nimbus dialog
If the file is not detected try refreshing the browser or review the Extension Limitations.
If you want to detect an image or video file on a webpage you may need to click on the item first then click the Nimbus Extension icon again
Modify the Filename if required
Select a Storage area of either a Client or Business folder.
Select the Client Code / Name, or the name of the Business folder.
Enter a document category if required. This will display additional meta data fields if appropriate.
Enter or select a matter code if required. Note that if a Matter code is selected, the folder path will be updated to match the selection.
By default, To save in a client folder select the client name. Otherwise change the Storage area to select Business Internal folders.
Complete additional metadata as required
Selecting a document category will display additional custom fields if they have been configured.
Entering a matter code will result in the folder path automatically updating to match the selection. The folder path can be changed if required
By default the system will save the document to the root folder, unless there is a Matter code selected, though this can be changed to a sub-folder by clicking the ellipse button.
When a sub-folder is selected, the system will update the folder path appropriately.
Click the Save button to save the PDF to your Nimbus account.
Once all metadata is complete click the Upload to Nimbus button.
