The MS Outlook Nimbus Add-in deserves a chapter of its own, as it has some unique capabilities which make the saving of your exchange of messages with your clients a lot easier.
The Outlook AddIn allows the following:
Within Outlook, you can save emails to Client folders within Nimbus. To do this, perform the following:
- Ensure you are logged into Nimbus via Outlook
- Locate the email and right-click on the message as shown below:
- Select the option Save mail to CDM. The following dialog will display to the right of the message:
You should then be able to setup the document saving the same way as it was previously explained for Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Outlook Views
- Saving just an Email Attachment to Nimbus
- Send and Save Email to Nimbus
- this will send an email and Save a copy of the Email to Nimbus CDM.
Display Flag over saved Emails
Microsoft Outlook allows you to configure your Views. Your Inbox, can therefore display a flag that shows emails which have been saved to CDM.
- Open Outlook
- Select View from the Ribbon bar
- Click the option Change View > Manage Views…
- Create a New view, give it a new name and click on OK
- Whilst adjusting the View, edit the Columns option and add in the Categories field
- Click OK to save the changes
- Click on "Apply View"
- Then your inbox will show those emails, which have been saved to CDM via the green rectangle flag.
