Setting a Signature block to a Contact

Nimbus signature blocks can be tied to a contact for signing. This means that when a Client logs into their Nimbus Portal, and signs a document, the system will automatically jump to the location you wish that person to sign. If you require more than one person to sign a document, the system will only display those signature blocks that relate to the person who is currently logged in and working through the signing process.

As soon as the Client signs the first signature block, the system will then jump to the next (if there is one) and request the Client to sign that block, and so on and so forth.

When a PDF with signature blocks is created, it is then necessary to edit the PDF and assign Client Contacts / Staff to each signature block.

This article describes how to do this task.

Instructions

Edit the PDF document within your Nimbus system and within the PDF Editor, click the Insert tab on the Ribbon bar

  1. Locate the signature block you wish to set and click on the block. The system will display a menu. Select the “Set Name” function.

    1.

  2. The system then displays a list of the Contacts who are related to the Client Entity, AND who have folder visibility. In this example, there are two Contacts related to the Client Entity, and so we will select one person - Regina, to sign on this block.

    1.

  3. Make the selection from the available Contacts, and click the Apply button.

    1.

  4. The signature block will then be updated with the name of the Contact.

    1.

  5. You can now save the PDF document and share with your Client for signature.

Signature blocks can also be set to Staff Members. Business Signature blocks (green) are used for staff.

There are a number of ways you can share a file with your Client for signature, depending on your Nimbus subscription.
