How to set up SMS Notifications for Clients and Staff
SMS Notifications is a value-added service Nimbus provides to customers free of charge. SMS Notifications can be sent to mobile numbers in Australia, UK, USA, Canada and South Africa - to both staff and clients.
SMS notifications will only be sent during business hours (9am – 5pm, based on location).
SMS Notification types
SMS notifications can be sent for the following alert types:

| Approval Request | A Nimbus Email Job is awaiting your approval |
| Client Submitted Checklist | Client <Client Code> has submitted a Nimbus checklist |
| Client Upload Notification | Client <Client Code> has uploaded files for your attention |
| Client Welcome with Files | Please see welcome email from <Practice Name> to access your files |
| Email Job | You have received an email from <Practice Name> |
| File Conversation | A file conversation notification has been emailed to you by <Practice Name> |
| Management EMail | A Nimbus management Email has been sent to you |
| New Client Details | Client details for <Client Code> have been updated in Nimbus |
| Upload Notification | Files from <Practice Name> are ready for download |
SMS Notification setup for Client Contacts
- In the Edit Contact dialog, ensure the contact has a Mobile number saved.
- Select the Allow SMS Notifications option.
- Also ensure the Allow Notifications option has been ticked. This option is ticked by default.
- Click on Update.
SMS Notification setup for Employees
- In the Edit Employee dialog, ensure the employee has a Mobile number saved.
- Then click on the Access tab.
3. Ensure the Allow SMS Notifications option is ticked, as well as the Allow Notifications option.
Then click on Update.
